Ok so it's not actually cold outside right now, in fact it's the exact opposite were I sit. But, the cold is coming! And so are a few more engagement rings. Fall seems to be one of the best times to get engagement pictures taken. You're not dropping from the heat, you have beautiful colors all around you, and you can pick pretty much any outfit. However, sometimes fall doesn't always work times wise.
But don't be discouraged if the best time for you and your special guy to have an engagement shoot is after the snow falls! This couple shows how beautiful a little snow can be.

He put a ring on it
From the moment you got engaged it’s been about the ring.
You probably dreamt about it, imagined what it would be like to have that
sparkling diamond on your finger, and just about hyperventilated when you
finally received it.
After you have chosen a photographer, make sure they know
you want a few fun shots of that ring (oh yeah, his can be in there too). I’m
not talking about the classic hands in the flower shots – not that those are
bad, just a little old school. You want to be able to see the details in that
ring, no matter how big or small, this is your ring!
Most photographers will already know that this is a key shot
they need to take, but just in case, make sure you let them know it’s important
to you. Maybe it won’t be the picture you get printed on a 30x40 canvas but who
knows, if it’s cool enough, maybe you will! All in the details
Brides are always wondering what they can do to make their
wedding stand out. Summer is the definite wedding season. If you’re life is
anything like mine, sometimes it seems like there’s a wedding every other
weekend.
If you’re one of those weddings, you want to make sure your
guests remember more than just a blur of wedding excitement. Make your wedding
the wedding that they think of after the blur has passed.
The question is how. There are so many aspects of a wedding
that stay the same couple to couple. There are almost always flowers, dresses,
bridesmaids, groomsmen, candles-you get the picture. So it makes sense that the
other details are what are going to make the biggest difference between your
wedding and everyone else’s that year.
This is your chance to show your personality. Set of
sparklers, have a photo booth, choreograph a song for your wedding party during
the reception. There are so many ways to make your wedding your own the list
would take all day.
Check out this bride who added lots of unique touches. From
her beautiful broach bouquet to their fun wedding favors, they showed their
style and no one will forget their wedding.

One of the most important things to remember is to hire an
amazing photographer for your big day. Your picture are the only thing you have
left when the wedding is all said and done so make sure to find someone who
will immortalize all those memories for you.
The
majority of the pictures on my site are from local photographer Megan Blunk.
Megan has an amazing ability to capture every special moment, every little
detail, and every important memory. She works with the bride and her vision,
listening to what she feels is important and making sure to capture everything
the bride wants.
I have
personally been a part of the wedding party in one of Megan’s shoots and have
also observed her as a wedding coordinator. She works hard to achieve a
relationship with the bride and family while still maintaining a professional
yet fun atmosphere. A lot of wedding photographers view a wedding shoot as
simply another job, Megan lives and breathes photography. From researching
ideas and techniques to capturing memories for simple enjoyment, Megan works
hard to stay up to date with all the current trends.
“I have a
passion for art, design, and photography. I love capturing expressions and
emotions because those moments compare to nothing else. The best part is not
only interaction with fantastic people and having fun but making new amazing
friendships. If you would like to experience that then email me. I look forward
to meeting you!!” –Megan
